Reese had a double ear infection

My baby was sick this past weekend.  Saturday afternoon she started acting funny.  Reese is a very happy and loud baby.  Saturday afternoon she was very quite and took a very long nap.  I thought she was teething and did not think anything else of it.

Reese and I were at my parents house this weekend, since Jeff was out of town.  I loaded Reese in the car and we were heading home when she started throwing up everywhere.  I could not believe my baby was sick.  This is the first time she has thrown up.  I got her out of the car and stripped her down to her diaper.  I could tell she was hot and running a fever.  I was starting to panic.  I took her temperature and she was running 102.  I was terrified that she had the flu.  I called the doctor's office and was informed it would be several hours before they would call me back due to the high number of calls they were receiving. I did not have several hours to wait on there phone call.

At this time, Jeff was flying  back home.  I needed him more than ever.  My mom called and found out that Direct Care was open till 7.  I rushed to get Reese in the car to make it there.  We made it at 6:55.  As I am walking in, Reese begins to throw up all over my shoulder.  I started to panic and become a crazy mom.  I felt that my child was the most important and should be seen right away.  Of course that did not happen.

The doctor finally checked Reese out and told me she had a double ear infection.  I was happy and excited it was not the swine flu.  They had to give her a shot.  This was not good.  My baby cried for thirty minutes.  I thought I was going to start crying.

I was so happy that Jeff got home that night.  He picked up Reese's medicine for me.  Sunday we laid around the house since Reese was not feeling well.  She took 3 naps that day.  She finally broke her temp.
